Both the House of Representatives and the Senate are back in session this week, and partisan fireworks are expected as the Senate again considers legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare. In addition, leaders from the Administration and Congress will release a common framework for comprehensive tax reform.
In committee today, the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance will hold a hearing entitled “Overview of the Family Self-Sufficiency Program.” Also, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Information Technology will hold a hearing on “Cybersecurity of the Internet of Things.”
On Thursday, the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee will hold a hearing on “Evaluating Sanctions Enforcement and Policy Options on North Korea: Administration Perspective.” The House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance will hold a hearing entitled “Examining Insurance for Nonprofit Organizations.”
Finally, the House Committee on the Judiciary Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial, and Antitrust Law will hold a hearing on “Rulemakers Must Follow the Rules, Too: Oversight of Agency Compliance with the Congressional Review Act.”
