The Bank Secrecy Act Workshop provides an overview of credit union specific BSA regulations and will assist credit unions in remaining compliant with BSA training requirements. Some knowledge of BSA is assumed. No advanced preparation is necessary. Participants will review BSA requirements and discuss operational compliance issues as well as common mistakes examiners are finding. This workshop is open to affiliated credit unions and meets requirements for BSA training needs.

The League of Southeastern Credit Unions is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website.

Bill Berg has been with the League of Southeastern Credit Unions (formerly the Florida Credit Union League) since 1988 and currently serves as the vice president of compliance training and information. Prior to joining the League, Bill worked for eleven years for the Federal Reserve of Atlanta – Jacksonville Branch.
Bill answers technical/regulatory questions via the telephone or through email; provides customized training to credit unions, chapters, and other groups; writes a quarterly column for the Signal; is one of the principal authors and current editor of the Bankruptcy and Collections and Board of Directors Channels for InfoSight (The LSCU’s Online Compliance System), and facilitates planning sessions for credit unions.

All cancellations must be in writing and received by Wednesday, October 2, by 5:00pm. No refunds will be issued after this time. Substitutions are always welcome.
Small Asset Sized (SAS) CU Initiative Account
SAS credit unions ($50 million in assets or less) may apply a portion of their $500 SAS CU Initiative Account to the registration fee for this event or any LSCU or League Service Corporation product and/or service. As LSCU bills your credit union for the events/services used, your credit union can simply write on the invoice that it is to be paid out of your LSCU Small Credit Union Initiative Account. The League’s accounting staff will keep track of the expenditures from your account.
